Apple is making party planning ridiculously easy with its latest app, Apple Invites. Launched today, this new iPhone-exclusive app lets you create sleek digital invitations, manage RSVPs, and even set up collaborative playlists with your crew. Whether it’s a casual hangout, birthday bash, or a full-blown party, Apple Invites streamlines the whole process, with no clunky third-party apps needed. #ShotsFired
“With Apple Invites, an event comes to life from the moment the invitation is created, and users can share lasting memories even after they get together,” said Brent Chiu-Watson, Apple’s senior director of Worldwide Product Marketing for Apps and iCloud.
Apple Invites isn’t just about sending a boring event reminder. You can pick backgrounds from Apple’s curated collection, or use your own photos to create a stylish, custom look. The app even integrates with Maps and Weather, so your guests know exactly where to go and what kind of weather to expect—no surprises there.
But here’s where it gets next-level: A dedicated Shared Album lets guests upload their own photos and videos from the event. So instead of chasing everyone down for pics, you get an instant event recap right in the app.
We all know Apple is diving deep into AI, and Apple Invites is getting a slice of that action. Apple Intelligence lets you generate unique invitation images using concepts and descriptions from your photo library. And if you’re struggling to write the perfect event details, the built-in Writing Tools help you craft something just right.
Apple Invites gives you total control over your event. You can:
And don’t worry—your friends don’t need an Apple device to RSVP. They can do it right from the web.
If you’re an iCloud+ subscriber, you unlock even more premium features:
iCloud+ plans start at just $0.99/month, making it a solid deal for anyone who wants the full experience.
Apple Invites is available now as a free download from the App Store for iPhones running iOS 18 or later. You can also access it on the web at icloud.com/invites. If you’re the go-to guy for organizing get-togethers, this app is about to make your life a whole lot easier.
What do you think? Is Apple Invites the ultimate party-planning tool, or are you sticking with Partiful, evite, Paperless Post, Sendo and others that have been in this space for awhile now?
